Textile screens or insect screens: which do you need?
Solar shading and insect protection serve different purposes. How to prepare the right combination for windows and doors.

Start with the result you want
Is glare affecting a desk, direct sun making a seating area uncomfortable, or do you want to ventilate with an open window? Solar screens and insect screens solve different problems. Describe the goal before choosing fabrics or frames.
Textile screens for light and façade design
With a textile screen, fabric, guides and controls are coordinated with the glazing or terrace side. Outward visibility and appearance also depend on lighting. A shading fabric should not be assumed to provide complete insect protection without assessment.
Insect screens for windows and doorways
Windows call for different opening styles from frequently used balcony and terrace doors. Handle position, opening direction, threshold and installation space matter. Think about daily use: who opens the door, what passes through it and which routes must remain clear?
Plan both functions together
If both systems are required, their guides and movement spaces must work together. Photographs from inside and outside help initial assessment. The final survey also covers existing blinds, fittings and connections. Compare basic ideas in the 3D studio before their technical suitability is assessed.
